The abandoned S-Bahn stop in Oberwiesenfeld was opened in 1972 to provide additional means of transportation for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The station in Oberwiesenfeld is one of the few lost places in the Munich downtown area. Today, it has fallen into disuse and the tracks leading to the station have been removed.
